Two brave souls in The Chirpin Yotes Podcast, Myself and Stathead Grandy will be debating on this issue in an episode very soon as I mentioned in a previous blog post. Being a huge fan of The English Premier League and Bundesliga (MLS I see you just doesn’t help my point at this time but Somos Verde) relegation is a normal part of the game. For those unaware its when the bottom 3 teams in the league would be bumped down to a lower league IE Bundesliga 2. This practically forces owners to be competitive and buy in to make sure they play in the top flight league. in North America the worst team is given the best draft capital which encourages tanking. Obviously incorporating relegation would DRASTICALLY change North American Sports but I see it some value in a way of doing so. We’ve decided to make this our first Coyotes Court topic so I look forward to hearing the banter from Grandy during this discussion.
