The Austin Bruins of the NAHL have fired there head coach/general manager Kyle Grabowski. After 2 years as Bruins head coach, Grabowski had a record of 57-58-13, making the playoffs once and ultimately losing in the central division finals. However, last season (2016-17) he did not in fact make the playoffs and that is believed to be apart of the reason for his dismissal. There has not been much information on this subject just that he was fired and the role of general manager and head coach will be filled. The Austin Bruins have wasted no time in filling that void.
The Austin Bruins have mentioned that they are possibly going to hire a general manager and a separate head coach rather than the traditional situation that teams have a head coach that also fills the general manager role.
