Logan Jenuwine Makes NAHL History and I Try To As Well

It doesn't get any easier than this.

Open net, goalie completely out, nothing but crisp white twine to shoot for. But that was just the "easy one" and doesn't include the other 55 goals Logan Jenuwine of the Amarillo Bulls had to put in the net throughout the last 55 games.

Logan, who is committed to Arizona State next fall, passed Pete Mehalic who set the league record back in 1992-1993.

What should of been a simple article though turned into quite the investigative journalism for me (it's my story and I'll tell it how I want to).

See, I wanted to know who Logan actually had passed after 27 years, so I did what any person would do and I went immediately to Eliteprospects.com. Though there was a hitch in all of this.

Elite Prospects actually had former NHLer Mike York listed with a whopping 136 goals in the 93-94 season, as did Wikipedia. Hockeydb didn't even list that season on Mike's career page so that was little use.

So before I post something and look anymore like an idiot than I typically do I had to find a different route.

So what better to do than reach out to the league itself?

Which immediately had both Beau Marchwick, who does a helluva job for EP on updating stats (looking at numbers all day can make your head spin), and the official Elite Prospects twitter account immediately jump in and go to work:

And viola:

You now have Logan listed as #1 all time!

I'd like to say I took part in history (because I can be arrogant and conceited some times) but in reality it was all Logan (and Elite Prospects) that did all the work.

Congratulations to Logan from the staff here at TJHP and we look forward to having another write up for you next season when you dominate the NCAA title books!
