Holewa And Selects Academy Part Ways
South Kent School Selects Academy (SKSA) and Director of Hockey Operations Doug Holewa have parted ways only 15 months into Holewa's three-year contract. TJHP sources indicated the parting was mutual and there had been internal issues for quite some time between Holewa and the school.
SKSA is a joint effort between South Kent School and LEGACY Global Sports. In addition to serving as Director of Hockey Operations Holewa was also the 16U head coach.
Jon Hutcheon, who came aboard with Holewa in August 2018 is now listed as the Interim Director of Hockey Operations and head coach of the SKSA 16U and 18U teams.
Hutcheon becomes the third SKSA Director of Hockey Operations in the last two years. The program was led by Devin Rask for many seven years, from its inception until 2018. Rask was recruited to Mount St. Charles Academy in August of 2018 to duplicate the success he and his staff had at SKSA.
