Wenatchee Wild Forced To Reschedule Home Games

Wenatchee Wild Forced To Reschedule Home Games - The Hockey Focus

The BCHL announced schedule changes today for the Wenatchee Wild due to the border closure for people traveling into the United States from Canada.

The Wild will play on the road for the beginning of the season and then make up those home games in the months ahead.

“This takes a little pressure off by moving our October home dates to later in the season”

The BCHL’s Return to Play Task Force continues to investigate possible solutions if the border remains closed beyond October, 2021.

“The Wild have every intention of playing a full season both at home and on the road. We are working with the BCHL office and looking at every available way to play our home games. At this time, we can go and play our road games in Canada and return to Wenatchee after the games. The Canadian teams can not cross the land border at this time. We are working on several solutions to get our home games in including have teams fly in. Canadians can fly into the United States at this time.”

TJHP will continue to monitor the BCHL and Wenatchee Wild to see if this will effect anymore home games for the 2021-22 season.
