Trimble’s Drill of the Week- 2 Small Area Games for the U10 or Squirt Levels
Regroup Game
Simple game to teach regroups and puck possession. Defending team, once they get the puck, must pass back to their coach positioned to the side or behind their defending net before they can go on offense. This game teaches spatial awareness, breakout, regroup and much much more.
Designated Shooter Game
3v3 game where you are attacking the net you are closest to (lined up in front of) and defending the opposite net. One player is designated shooter. Puck has to get passed to him and shot before making a play on the net. Teaches net front basics, boxing out defensively, and quick decisions with the puck.
