Trimble’s Drill of the Week- Defenseman Skills- Corner Jump Drill

Corner Jump Drill

Two lines on each of the faceoff dots. Defenseman will work on foot and edge work as well as gaps and stick pressure. Simple skill drill that finishes with a point shot.

Skate hard off the post to the corner- stick on the loose puck in the corner. Transition to backwards to post then push off hard again to forwards. Entering the corner for the second time, retrieve one of the pucks in the corner and head up ice. Transition your feet up around the circle and finish with a point shot. Switch lines each time.

Great drill for a station practice, small group or when your positions are split (forwards/ defenseman).
