I started running Scoring Concepts Hockey Camps in New Jersey in 2011. What began as a small opportunity to work with players and share my experience has continued to grow over the years. Today, we operate our camps in New Hampshire, but the purpose has remained the same: help young players improve while creating positive memories around the game.
I have always tried to make our camps affordable, useful and fun for families. Players receive quality instruction, plenty of repetitions and opportunities to compete, but they also get to enjoy being kids. Hockey development matters, but so do friendships, confidence and leaving the rink excited to return the next day.
The Hockey Development Hub on Substack was created with a similar purpose. I want it to be a useful and affordable resource for coaches, parents and players looking for practical information they can actually use. Whether it is a camp on the ice or an article online, my goal is to make hockey development a little easier to understand and more accessible to everyone.
