Fix Your Game: A New Video Series Built for Players
Ten short videos. Practical details. A better understanding of your game.
Hockey players are constantly told to improve.
Improve your skating. Protect the puck. Shoot more accurately. Make quicker decisions.
The problem is that players are not always shown the specific details that make those improvements possible.
That is why I created the Fix Your Game video series.
Details Make the Difference
Each video focuses on one specific part of a player’s game and provides three or four important teaching points that can be understood and applied immediately.
These are not long lectures or complicated breakdowns. The videos are designed to deliver clear instruction that players can quickly take to the ice.
The series includes lessons covering areas such as:
- Shooting accuracy
- One-timers
- Puck protection
- Tight turns and Mohawk turns
- Proper arm movement
- Skating technique
- Puck skills
- Other important elements of individual development
Every video follows a simple process:
Learn it. Practice it. Apply it.
Why I Created the Series
Too many players practice a skill without understanding the details behind it.
They may take hundreds of shots without learning how their hands, feet and body position affect accuracy. They may work on turns without understanding their edges or weight distribution. They may try to protect the puck without recognizing how body positioning creates time and space.
Repetition is important, but repetition without proper technique can reinforce poor habits.
The goal of Fix Your Game is to help players recognize the small details that lead to meaningful improvement.
A player does not always need an entirely new training program. Sometimes one adjustment can change the effectiveness of a skill.
Take Ownership of Your Development
Players receive coaching during practices and games, but development cannot be limited to organized team activities.
The best players become active participants in their own improvement. They watch, listen, ask questions and evaluate their habits.
This 10-video series gives players another tool for that process. Watch one lesson, identify the key details and then take them onto the ice during your next practice or individual training session.
Do not try to fix everything at once. Select one area, focus on the details and build the correct habit through consistent repetition.
Help Shape What Comes Next
This series is also intended to create a conversation with players, coaches and hockey families.
After watching an episode, always remember to:
- ✅ Like the video
- ✅ Subscribe for more hockey drills
- ✅ Share it with a coach or teammate
- ✅ Comment with the drill or hockey topic you want to see next
Your comments will help determine the skills, concepts and development questions covered in future videos.
Watch. Learn. Improve. Fix your game.
