Trimble’s Drill of the Week- 2v2 with Accountability
Run it out of each corner.
Defenseman at the top of the circle and backchecking foreward at the bottom of the circle.
Offensive players (either forwards or D’s) at the hash marks.
Use a barrier or tires to separate the ice.
On the whistle 2 v 2 attack on the far net.
Players have to communicate and make a play in a small area on the rush.
Great drill for teaching some zone exit concepts and defending the rush.
Make it accountable!- Goal is scored- Defenders do Pushups. Puck is turned over- Attackers (offensive players) do Pushups.
