WSHL More Goals Than Rostered Players

WSHL More Goals Than Rostered Players - The Hockey Focus

Sunday, October 31st the Hinton Timberwolves and Cold Lake Aeros of the WSHL faced off and the final score was 14-4 in Cold Lake’s favor. The best part about this matchup and score was that the Aeros scored more goals than Hinton had skaters. That’s right, Hinton had a total of 12 skaters but were scored on a total of 14 times.

Something is going on in the WSHL, even in the Provincial Division, which we believed was going to have a successful season. Teams are showing up with barely enough players to play a competitive hockey game, but they are still going forward with this season. I don’t see this getting any better. It’s hard enough getting players signed during the off season and now we are sitting in November and teams still only have enough for 2 forward lines and 6 defensemen. Is it time to shut this thing down and allow these players to find better homes for the remainder of the season?
